Detroit Bulldog Rescue

The Detroit Bulldog Rescue is a team of volunteers that takes in English Bulldogs who are either surrendered by their owners, or from shelters.  We address medical issues, spay and neuter all dogs, and get them up to date on vaccinations while evaluating temperaments.  When ready, we then place the dogs into their new “forever homes”.  No other types of bulldogs are accepted into this program, i.e. Olde English, American, Pit Bull, etc.

We are completely funded by donations and adoption fees. Our adoption fee is $450.00.  100% of donations and adoption fees go toward vet bills.

We generally do not get puppies into rescue.  The average age of a dog that comes in is around 4 or 5 years old, though many are older.

If you are interested in applying to adopt a bulldog, please go to www.rescuebulldogs.org to complete an application.

If you are interested in donating, helping with rescue, or if you have an English Bulldog that you need to surrender, please contact a member of our team below:

(Please note that we all work together so you only need to contact one of us)

URGENT: Dog/Cat
Food Needed

Our source for dog/cat food had dried up. This means we must pay full price for food and will impact our ability to take in more animals, treat them medically and maintain the animals we have now. Please donate just a bag/can or two. Every little bit helps!

We also need help out to the farm with regular chores. Cleaning kennels, cleaning cat rooms and other general chores. Please email or call to sign up! Great for filling those needed community service hours!

We have so far this year placed 156+ dog/puppies and 117+ cats/kittens into their new forever homes. This is a record for us and we hope to continue this type of success through the end of the year. We of course, could not do this without our wonderful volunteers and donations from you. Thank you all for your wonderful help!

Congratulations to all of the new Mom and Dad Pet Owners!

We do have some special needs pets that are looking for that special home so please check out our website to view their requirements. Somewhere out there is that special person looking for them. Maybe you know them?

Finnigan
Can I Come Home With You?
FinneganHi, My name is Finigan and I am almost 1 year old. I get along very well with other dogs. I am fine in a crate and I am housebroken. What more could you ask for in a dog.

I am very friendly and good natured, I love people and I am good with children. You are my perfect match if you have an electric fence as I can get over regular fencing! I need someone to play and walk with me and give me love.  Did I mention that I need your home to be my forever home?  Come and take a walk and let's see if we are a match.
I am up to date with routine shots, and have been neutered. For more information contact Glenda at 12doglady@gmail.com or call 810-635-9649 or 810-247-0356
LuLu
I need a forever home!
Hi, my anme is LuLu. LuLuI am 5 years old and I am very gentle. I love to be petted and I am quite playful for my age. I was adopted out as a young kitten and returned to PAWS Rescue because my owners got a divorce and I had no other place to go.

I have not really been around other cats yet, or dogs but I am quite easy going and would probably be good around other animals once I get accustomed to them. I have been FIV/FELV tested, Spayed, my shots are up to date, and dewormed.  Are you looking for arm candy? If so, I am the cat for you!!!

For more information contact Glenda at 12doglady@gmail.com or call 810-635-9649 or 810-247-0356

Promote Your Business
Help your Business and PAWS Rescue

PAWS is looking for businesses to place ads in either the Flint Journal or the Tri County Times.  The ad would feature a pet in need of adoption and would also promote your business.

This is an inexpensive way to buy advertising and help animals that can't speak for themselves.

Please email Glenda at 12doglady@gmail.com
